산달 공소 - 거제 성당

 

지금은 산달 연륙교로 덕분에 거제나 통영으로 다니기가 편해졌지만 다리가 개통되기 전에는 거제도에 속한 

작은 섬에 지나지 않았습니다. 

 

산달공소는 법동리의 김 수산나 할머니로부터 시작이 되는데, 집안의 우환이 끊이지가 않자 1954년 2월 

거제성당에 입교하고 다른 할머니 두 분과 함께 매주 토요일이면 나룻배를 타고 건너와 십여 리 길을 걸어서 

성당에서 잠을 자고 일요일 미사를 드리고 복귀했다고 합니다. 

 

1955년 영세를 받고, 방 한 칸을 마련하여 작은 교회로 활용하다가, 1966년 5월 27일 낙성식을 올리고 

초대회장으로 김 수산나 할머니가 맡게 되었습니다. 

 

2021년 10월 필자가 순례할 때에는 바로 옆에 산달 분교 펜션을 만드는 중이라서 상당히 복잡하고 

분주했었는데...  아마 지금은 작은 교회 옆에 예쁜 펜션으로 완공되었을 것이라고 생각이 드네요.

Now, thanks to the Sandal Yeonryukgyo Bridge, it is easier to travel to Geoje or Tongyeong,

but before the bridge was opened, it was only a small island belonging to Geoje Island. 

Sandal Gongso started with Kim Susan-na of Beopdong-ri, and as the family's troubles continued,

he entered Geoje Cathedral in February 1954, crossed by ferry every Saturday with two other grandmothers,

slept about a dozen miles in the cathedral, and returned after massing on Sunday.

In 1955, after receiving a small residence, a room was prepared and used as a small church,

and on May 27, 1966, the inauguration ceremony was held and grandmother Kim Susan-na was

in charge of the first chairman.

When I made a pilgrimage in October 2021, I was making a pension for Sandal branch school right

next to it, so it was quite complicated and busy. I think it was completed as a pretty pension next to

a small church now.
