쌍백 공소 (고무정 공소) - 합천 성당

 

● 유래

공소의 태동은 박해 시기로 거슬러 올라가며 경북 김천, 상주 등지의

교우들이 황강을 따라 남하하면서 교우촌이 형성된 것으로 추정됩니다.

원래 현존 평구리 우측에 위치한 평지리에 설립한 고무정 공소가 전신으로,

1893년에 처음 등장하는 교세 통계표에 따르면 당시 조조 신부의 기록으로는 

신자 수는 36명이었습니다.

 

● 연혁

이후 교세를 넓히면서 지금의 평지리로 자리를 옮기고 쌍백면의 이름을 따서

쌍백공소로 부릅니다. 경당은 1974년 화재로 소실되어 재건축되었으며 이후

종탑 부분이 도로에 편입되면서 보상금을 받고 교육관이 건립되며 리모델링으로

현재에 이릅니다. 현재 3주 차 일요일에 미사가 봉헌되고 있습니다.

● Origins
The birth of Ssangbaek Small Church dates back to the period of persecution, 

and it is estimated that religious villages were formed as friends from Gimcheon 

and Sangju in Gyeongsangbuk-do moved south along the Hwanggang River. 

Originally established in Pyeongji-ri on the right side of Pyeonggu-ri, Gomujeong

Small Church was the predecessor, and according to the church statistics table

that first appeared in 1893, Father Jojo's record at the time was 36.

● History
Later, as the school expanded, it moved to the current Pyeongji-ri and was named 

Ssangbaekgongso after Ssangbaek-myeon. Gyeongdang was destroyed by a fire

in 1974 and rebuilt, and after that, the bell tower was incorporated into the road,

the education center was built for compensation, and it is now remodeled.

Mass is currently being dedicated on Sunday, the third week.
