천주교 인천교구 하점성당 관할의 강화도 교동 공소는 한국전쟁으로 연백군과
개성 등지에서 피난 온 교우들이 신앙공동체를 이루고 공소예절을 올리면서
1958년 1월에 설정된 공소입니다.
●공소현황
청주교구에서 사목하시다가 은퇴하신 후에 2004년부터 교동 공소에 머무르시면서
공소를 돌보시는 미국 메리놀 외방 선교회 로베르토 라파엘로 펠리니(방인이) 신부님이
93세의 연세로 아직도 미사를 집전하시고 계십니다.
비록 대교로 이어져 있다고는 해도 강화도를 지나 군사분계선 부근의 교동도는 목적지와
개인 신상을 밝히고야 통행이 가능합니다.
